Outdoor Painting in Nature Workshops

Wilton Wildlife Preserve & Park has been offering these free Painting in Nature workshops for the past few years. We have received grants through Saratoga Arts, who makes these programs possible with Community Arts Grants funded by the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of the Governor and the New York State Legislature.

Participants get outside, get pointers from an artist, and get a new-found appreciation of art and nature! In the spring, these workshops take place out in the meadow, surrounded by the blooming wild blue lupine. In the fall, they take place alongside Delegan Pond to allow participants to capture the beauty of fall reflected in the water of the pond. Local artists share their knowledge, with Page Darrow leading the acrylic painting and Catherine Wagner Minnery teaching about watercolor painting.

Enjoy some of the work that was produced this year!
